I recently went to the klimt exhibistion in the liverpool tate. Which i normally stay away from as i have been so many times with collage or uni or even school once and most of the time i feel i have learnt nothing and not really ganed anything.

But at the klimt work was amazing i felt that even tho the entire exhibition was not his work and some of his most famous ones weren't there i still felt i learnt so much about pattern and colour and the colour gold inparticular. I mean i hate gold i've really never liked it but i now see it is amazingly beautiful if used in the right way (not on a very orange finger in a horrible new roman style coin ring *shudder*)

The patterns were amazing so detailed and colourful and how it expands onto the frame and includes everything and macks your eye move stright to the centure piece of the work. the patterns alone i would pay £6 pounds to see.

Now getting becoming dangerously close to sounding like a graphic designer, the typography was just beautiful i couldn't belieave how much work had gone into the design the space in the just the general style of it.

only thing i would mention is that i was hoping for more of this work and maybe less of other peoples as i did pay £6 to see him but otherwise a great exhibition.
